What is RSS?
Saanich’s RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds enable you to stay up to date with our site. Our RSS subscribers get the
advantage of knowing when we add new content to our site immediately. RSS supplies you with an easy to use
tool to keep up to date with the district of Saanich.
What do I need to use RSS feeds?
To access our feeds in a readable format, you need an RSS reader/aggregator. There are two main ways to
use an RSS reader/aggregator: a stand alone application on your computer, or a plug-in for your browser. To find a reader, use your favourite search engine and search for "RSS Reader". If your browser shows
this icon in your URL entry area, congratulations you are already enabled with RSS
functionality.
How do I add the Saanich feeds to my RSS Reader on my PC?
If you are using an RSS Reader application on your PC you can easily add our feeds into your reader. To
do so, just copy the RSS link locations below into your RSS application. For more information, check the
documentation that came with your reader.
