 You can drop off accepted types of garden waste at the public
works yard 1040 McKenzie Avenue. (see line-up)
Accepted garden waste includes
grass clippings, prunings, plants and branches no larger than
2m in length and 5cm in diameter. We do not accept soil, sod,
ashes, rocks, tree root balls, animal waste or wood waste. Maximum vehicle size is 3/4 ton - 1 load per day.
For information on residential garden waste pickup service,
call 250-475-5595. Garden waste can also be taken to Hartland
Landfill.

For your convenience Public Works has positioned a webcam on the traffic lane of our compost
drop-off site at 1040 McKenzie Ave.

If you see a line-up in the inside access lane it means a potential wait of 20 - 45 minutes, depending on how far up the hill the line extends.
Wait times on high volume days regularly exceed 30 minutes. High volume days typically follow long weekends in the summer and fall.
