Foreign Utilities

Foreign utilities include gas, hydro, telephone, cable, and/or fibre optics. While we have policies and procedures in place to protect our Municipality, additional foreign utilities have been introduced to provide various services to our residents.

The Underground Services section is responsible for investigating, advising, approving and monitoring all foreign utilities within Saanich. If you have any questions or concerns regarding any foreign utility in your area, we recommend you contact that company first, they generally handle most problems quickly and efficiently. Should you feel your concern has not been dealt with adequately, contact the Engineering Department at (250) 475-5575.
