Safer City Alliance


The Alliance - A Memorandum of Understanding

The Alliance represents a Memorandum of Understanding and a Pledge of Support to improve road safety for all road users in Saanich.


Safer City is a collaboration with the municipality, engineering,
police and ICBC to make road safety a priority.
Safer City integrates and leverages the 3Es
-- Education, Engineering, Enforcement --
into one framework, to maximize the effectiveness of these key resources.


The goal of the program is to make road safety a priority. The overall goal
is to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities involving drivers, pedestrians
and cyclists, thereby increasing the safety and quality of life in Saanich.
