Parking Offence Notices

The Streets and Traffic Regulation Bylaw regulates parking in the District of Saanich. The bylaw also provides for a voluntary penalty for any contravention of parking regulation stipulated in Section 7 of the bylaw as follows:

• $20.00 if paid within 7 calendar days from the date of the parking offence notice
• $25.00 if paid after 7 days but within 45 calendar days from the date of the parking offence notice
• $30.00 if paid after 45 calendar days from the date of the parking offence notice
• Failure to pay within 60 calendar days will result in further action

Dispute Process

A Parking offence notice may be disputed by submitting a parking offence notice review request form with the Saanich police, attention traffic division. The review request form can be obtained online or from the municipal hall cashier, or the police department front desk.
