Project Description
The Douglas Street Connector will connect Saanich Municipal Hall, Swan Lake and the Lochside/Galloping Goose Trail to the existing asphalt path at the end of Falaise Drive. The route continues on to Cherry Tree Bend and the intersection of Halliburton Road with the Pat Bay Hwy.
Phase 1 of this project will run from the intersection of Ralph Street and Douglas Street into Rainbow Park and along the bottom of the bank to exit at McKenzie Avenue. The path will be similar to the Galloping Goose and Lochside Trails with a yellow dashed centreline and a 3.0 metre mixed use asphalt path. There will also be a 2.0 metre finger that links the playground area to the trail in Rainbow Park.
For your convenience, we include a copy of the Douglas Street Connector drawing.
