Pearkes features 2 full ice sheets, skate lessons for all ages, Duffer hockey and is home to the Saanich Figure Skating Club, Saanich Minor Hockey Association and Saanich Lacrosse.

For safety reasons, figure skating and hockey playing are not permitted during public skating (unless specified)

• Baby strollers are permitted on the ice, as are wheelchairs
• All patrons must wear skates on the ice

Colquitz Middle School
(Located off Interurban Rd, where it meets Burnside Rd and close to Tillicum Centre.  Take bus route #21/22 from downtown or #8 from across town.
This new school includes seven specialty rooms which are designated as "community access" spaces. These spaces are programmed in similar fashion to our recreation centre during after school hours.  Programs available are listed in our Active Living Guide and through RecOnline.
