The L.I.F.E. (Leisure Involvement For Everyone) program assists individuals and families with low incomes to access Saanich Recreation programs and services.
Who Is Eligible?
The L.I.F.E. Program is designed for individuals
and families in Saanich who are working low income or on
B.C. Benefits (Income Assistance, B.C. Benefits Disability
and Youth Works). Your combined gross family income must
be at or below the Statistics Canada's for 2007. Low Income Cut offs
How Do I Apply?
Complete the Application Form and
submit it to any Saanich Recreation Centre. Complete only one form per household. When you
submit your completed application, please show proof of Saanich residency for yourself and
your dependents and your BC Care Card.
If you qualify, you will receive one Coupon Book and one Admission Card per family member. They are both valid from January 1st - December 31st of every year.
Admission Card
The admission card is valid at any recreation centre in Greater Victoria. It entitles the holder to 52 free drop-in activities. All family members must be present to apply for the admission card as photos are taken for the photo ID card.
Coupon Booklet
Each coupon booklet contains discount coupons for 50% off any registered program in Saanich. The Adult Coupon Booklet is given out only to the adults present at the recreation centre.
Restrictions
L.I.F.E is only available to Saanich residents. University and College students are not eligible.
