TREE APPRECIATION DAY

EVENTS HELD AT TWO LOCATIONS
BAXTER PARK
Saanich has received a Trees for Tomorrow grant from the Provincial Government and we will be planting 150 native trees and 1900 native shrubs. Volunteers are to meet at the end of Baxter Road nearest the Pat Bay Highway. To view the official invitation from Saanich click here.

MOUNT DOUGLAS PARK
Saanich will be hosting a native tree and shrub planting event along the banks of Douglas Creek. Volunteers are to meet outside the Washroom Building in the main parking lot off Cordova Bay Road at Ash Road.
Please dress appropriately for any weather as we will proceed regardless of the conditions. There are a limited amount of shovels available so bring along your own planting tools if possible. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE SAN JUAN AND GORDON HEAD COASTAL GREENWAYS
Mayor Frank Leonard together with MP Gary Lunn and MLA Ida Chong officially open the San Juan and Gordon Head Coastal Greenways at Arbutus Cove Park.
