Mount Douglas Park - Churchill Drive Gate Closure
Trial Period May 1st - October 31st, 2009

At the October 26, 2009 regular meeting of Saanich Council an expansion of the Churchill Drive Gate Closure was approved on a permanent basis. The gates will open at noon and close by 11:00 p.m. daily.

The purpose of the closure for the morning hours is to promote a more active, enjoyable leisure experience for pedestrians and cyclists using the roadway to the summit as a multi-use trail.
