Lake Hill Lawn Bowling Clubhouse in Reynolds Park

The Lake Hill Lawn Bowling Club has operated out of its clubhouse in Reynolds Park for 70 + years. With the exception of an addition built in 1990, the building was in very poor condition and needed to be replaced. We are pleased to announce that Saanich Parks, together with Leier Construction Limited, has begun construction of the new building. This project is made possible by funding from the District of Saanich, Saanich Parks, the Lake Hill Lawn Bowling Club, the BC Gaming Commission, and private donations.
The project involves the retention of a portion of the existing building and the construction of a 175 m2 addition in the same location. The resulting building will be 241 m2 with kitchen and bathroom facilities, indoor carpet bowling and social space, storage, and office space. The building will be managed by the Lake Hill Lawn Bowling Club and jointly used by Silver Threads service, an organization providing social, recreational and support services for seniors.
During construction, a portion of the parking lot at the end of Prestwood Drive will be cordoned off for use as a staging area by the construction crew. Crews will be on-site for approximately 4-6 months with completion anticipated in the spring of 2010. We anticipate only minimal disturbance to the neighbourhood and we thank everyone in advance for their patience during the construction period. We look forward to the successful completion of this project, and the expanded social and recreational opportunities it will bring to the community.
Stay tuned for the official opening in 2010.
