Welcome to employment opportunities within the Municipality
of Saanich. This page provides some information for
you to consider when applying for a position. The links

How Do I Apply?
Applications for employment are accepted for job vacancies
that are advertised on our web site,
a job posting board located at the Municipal Hall, and selectively,
in the Times Colonist newspaper. It is our policy
not to accept general applications for employment. To find
out about any available job vacancies, click on the current
postings page.
Applicants for posted positions are responsible for ensuring
that their application/resume is received by the closing date
and that they clearly indicate how they meet each of the stated
requirements. The job posting provides the job duties, qualifications
and experience required.
Applicants are required to submit a separate application form
and resume for each competition they wish to be
considered for. Please ensure that you include the competition
number on your application.
Ensure that your application includes a telephone number where
you can be contacted.
An applicant must be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant
or have a legal permit to work in Canada.
How Does the Selection Process Work?
Following the closing date, the Municipality reviews all applications,
and based on the information submitted, selects for further
consideration those candidates who best meet the required
qualifications and experience. These short-listed individuals
are contacted and given information on the subsequent selection
process. We appreciate all applications, but only those applicants
under consideration will be contacted.
