The OneStop
Business Registry allows applications for a business
licence to be completed from your home or office and forwarded
electronically to the Business Licence Division in your
own municipality.
The Provincial Ministry of Competition, Science
and Enterprise developed the "OneStop Business Registry"
program to cut the red tape and reduce the paperwork and
time associated with the registrations and forms necessary
for new and existing businesses in B.C. OneStop Business
Registry allows business owners to complete important government
applications quickly and efficiently, at one time and at
one location. These include:
- Registering with the Canada Revenue Agency
for GST, payroll deductions, corporate income tax, and
import/export accounts.
- Registering a proprietorship or partnership.
- Registering as a vendor for the provincial sales tax.
- Registering as an employer with the Workers' Compensation
Board (WCB)
- Applying for personal Optional protection with WCB.
- Applying for a Municipal Business Licence with participating
municipalities
OneStop Business Registry is a computer program that leads
users through several application processes at one sitting
and then sends the results to the appropriate agencies.
OneStop Business Registry is simple to use and requires
no previous computer experience. To learn more about OneStop
Business Registry, simply click on the icon below to visit
