To book an inspection please call Inspection
Services/Bookings at (250) 475-5458 and allow 24 hours notice,
(or more, particularly in the heavy summer construction
months) to accommodate scheduling.
* Please note that Saanich does not do Electrical or Gas Appliance
inspections, (for Electrical call the Province of BC at 952-4443).
Building Inspection
Any building inspection WITH a valid Saanich Building Permit.
NOTE: these inspections do not include private building
inspections on existing structures. If you want a private
Building Inspection, prior to purchasing a house look in
the yellow pages under Building Inspection Service.
Plumbing Inspection
Any plumbing inspection WITH a valid Saanich Plumbing Permit.
NOTE: these inspections do not include private plumbing
inspections. If you want a private plumbing inspection,
i.e. prior to purchasing a house look in the yellow pages
under Building Inspection Service.
Chimney, Fireplace and/or Woodstove
Inspection
Any chimney, fireplace and/or woodstove inspection WITH a
valid Saanich Chimney/Fireplace/Woodstove Permit. NOTE: these
inspections do not include private inspections. If you want
a private inspection, i.e. prior to purchasing a house, look
in the yellow pages under Chimney Sweep, look for the CWEI
Wood Energy Technical Training Symbol, they will clean your
chimney and do a report for insurance purposes.
Public Works Inspection
Private Contractor's works on Municipal property to be inspected?
Please allow 48 hours notice of preferred time of inspection
so that the Inspectors can accommodate.
