SHELBOURNE CORRIDOR ACTION PLAN (in process)

On August 10, 2009, Saanich Council approved the Terms of Reference for the Saanich Planning Dept. to undertake the Shelbourne Corridor Action Plan.
The intent of the Plan is to develop, in consultation with the community and other stakeholders, a comprehensive, long range (20 to 30 year) vision for an area 500 m on either side of Shelbourne St. from North Dairy Road in the south to Feltham Road in the north.

TILLICUM ACTION PLAN (completed March 2005)
The Tillicum Local Area Plan was adopted by Council in June, 2000. This plan recognized that more
intensive work was needed to address land use and streetscape issues in the Tillicum Road and
Burnside Road corridors.
Specific policies were adopted to ensure that future work would be
undertaken in consultation with the community to develop more detailed guidelines and actions to
direct and improve future development in the neighbourhood.

HERITAGE ACTION PLAN (completed February 2007)
The Planning Department and the Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee would like to announce that the Heritage Action Plan, 2007 was approved by Council on February 12, 2007. This Action Plan identifies reasonable, attainable and specific actions that support the direction of the Heritage Management Plan, and the Strategic Plan with a view to preserving and managing heritage resources for the active use and benefit of the community of Saanich.
The Heritage Action Plan (PDF 1.5 mb) is an Appendix to the Heritage Management Plan.
